“Enthusiasm makes the difference.”
-Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
What this means is that being enthusiastic helps you do better. It’s another word for being positive. So if you are not enthusiastic, you see the bad side of things. If you are enthusiastic, you always look forward to things. You look forward, even to school. Not a lot of people look forward to that at all. You will most likely succeed in life because of your positive attitude. A positive attitude is really important. It shows your personality. People want to be around others that cheer you up, not bring you down.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.”
                                                                                      -  Dean Smith

What this means is that you are rewarded when you do the right thing. For example, Dean Smith. The wins or losses we’re the least thing that mattered to him. That is why people love and respect him. They respected him for being humble. He didn’t care about being the best. When he coached, the wins weren’t only for him, but for his teammates. Dean Smith has a basketball stadium named after him. That not only happened because of his wins. It happened because of how he treated people. He showed respect for everyone. It didn’t matter what your skin color was, or religion. Everyone was treated equally.

“If you lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma (good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself.”
-Dr. Randy Pausch
What this means is that if you choose to live a good life, positive things will come your way. For example if you get the money you spend fairly. It’s only right if you get the fortune you deserve. Also, in a job. If you are a hard worker and you want a higher paying job. Your boss will see that you are hard working and will consider putting you in a higher position. The position you deserve. Not only that, but the one you earned. Also, in school. If you study for a test, you’re most likely to pass it. You have to work hard for what you want.

What is your passion and why is it a passion of yours?
My passion is spending time with my family. I can’t imagine not having my family by my side like the kids hardworking  parents who are being deported. So, I would want to be an immigration lawyer to help those families stay together.
How can you make this passion become your profession?
I can make it my profession since it is already an existing career.
What education is required?
The education required would be the one of a normal lawyer.
What skills, talents, and attitudes are required?
I think the most important thing you need to have is education. Be respectful to others, even when they don’t deserve it to show that you are a mature person. You can’t be racist to people just because of stereotypes. Also, be sexist, because anything a man can do, a woman can too and even make it better. In other words, just don’t be like Trump.
What are you willing to do in order to make your passion your profession?
I will continue to do good in school, to show the people that said that all Mexicans are “rapists” or “drug-dealers” that they are wrong.

“Of all the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating  the BODY, the MIND, and above all the CHARACTER…”
                                                                                                                      -Theodore Roosevelt

The most important thing in our country that people need is educating the body, mind, and most importantly, character.  You need to educate your body by not consuming drugs or alcohol. Also, by maintaining a healthy diet. For the mind, you need to always be positive. Stay focused on the things that really matter. For example, your family, friends, and education. They will get you far, and will motivate you. Most importantly, have good character. Be a nice person. Don’t disrespect other because of their skin color, race, religion, or gender. Everyone is equal and should be treated with respect.

“We need the courage to START and CONTINUE what we should do, and the courage to STOP what we shouldn’t  do.”
-Richard L. Evans
What this means is that we need to continue doing the things that are right. For example, doing good in school. Also, being nice to one another. Those are the things that we should always do. Also, to not talk back to your  parents/elders. We should start looking out for others. Give to charity, or help someone in need. You should stop doing what is wrong. For example, not caring about school. Also, doing drugs, or drinking alcohol. Choose The Right 24/7!

School Break Days

This winter break, I didn't really do alot of things. I stayed home most of the time taking care of my sister. On Christmas Eve my mom made posole and my uncles from my mom's side of the family came over . The second week of vacation was my dad's birthday, so he decided to take the whole week of to be with me and my sister while my mom was woking. When my mom finished working, we picked her up and went to Porto's. We usually go in the night since it isn't that busy. We ate sandwiches, and bought a cake home. I didn't really meet new people over the break.  I watched Beauty and the Beast with my sister. I watched several basketball games since I didn't have any homework. On New Years I stayed in with my family. I was awake until 12:00am but fell asleep at 12:05am. Overall, I had a good winter break.
